Jon is a native of Bismarck having graduated from Bismarck High School along with being a member of the Bismarck High tennis team. Jon coached tennis at the University of Mary in 1991 & 1992 before moving to Baltimore, Maryland where he spent the next 25 years working as a tennis teaching professional. Jon was fortunate to collaborate with the Davis Cup captain from the Philippines who had a training center for juniors in Baltimore. Jon has also worked at an additional training center for juniors entitled Tournament Tough Tennis. Jon has also worked with numerous sectional ranked and some national ranked players in the Mid-Atlantic section. During his last eight years in Baltimore, Jon coached at the high school varsity level for boys and girls.  Jon spent the last year, 2021-2022, coaching at St.Pauls, a prestigious private school in suburbia Baltimore. Jon helped guide the girls team to a 2nd place team finish and had one singles champion and two finalists.  Jon continues to offer his tennis training at Capital Racket & Fitness and is a current USPTA certified Tennis teaching professional. The Legacy tennis program is extremely fortunate and excited to have Jon’s wealth of tennis knowledge and experience with youth.
