​My name is Michael Janes. I am currently a math teacher at Simle Middle School. I grew up in Bismarck and graduated from Legacy High School in 2019. I currently hold the record for most wins for Legacy High School. In the fall of 2018, I became the singles state champion and was awarded the Senior Tennis Athlete of the year. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior with a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education. I continued playing tennis at UW-Superior and was awarded Player of the Year in 2022.
